How To Store Nanny Nona's Cakes

Nanny Nona's cakes are freshly baked to order and will generally keep well for a good few days once you receive them. They should be kept in an air tight container or wrapped and then stored in a cool, dark place, away from strong smells and sunlight.

If you don't plan on eating them straight away, most of them can be frozen -make sure they are wrapped in greaseproof paper or parchment and then in clingfilm, you can freeze them whole, or slice them, wrap the slices seperately and then freeze. Cake slices defrost very quickly, so you can just take one out when you need cake in your life.

To defrost frozen whole cakes simply remove from the freezer, leave the packaging on, and defrost in the fridge over night.
